Israel bands apple ipad

Israel has banned all the imports of Apple's hottest new product, the Apple Ipad, because the country believes that its wireless frequencies are incompatible with national standards. The countries Communication Ministry announced that the product does not work with the European WiFi standard, which is what they use in Israel. But Israel say that it might be a temporary ban. Customs official have said that they have already confiscated around 10 Ipads since the ban was announced this week. This ban prevents anyone even tourists from bringing Apple Ipads into the country. The iPad is a tablet combining the features of a notebook computer with the functions of the apple Iphone. It went on sale in the U.S. last week and can currently only be purchased there.

To me this ban makes really no sense. If everywhere else in Europe is aloud to have one and since they all run on the same WiFi standards, why should it be that Israel cant have it. Hopefully this ban is going to be a temporary one and that people in Israel can soon enjoy the hottest new gadget to hit the market since Apple introduced its Iphone around 2 years ago. The Apple Ipad is an amazing invention and should be enjoyed by everyone.

Volcanic eruptions halts travelers

Lava spurts from a volcanic eruption at the Fimmvorduhals volcano near the Eyjafjallajokull glacier some 125 Kms east of Reykjakic. (March 27, 2010) A volcanic eruption that has occurred in Iceland has caused grief to millions of people trying to travel today. Fimmvorduhals volcano near the Eyjafjallajokull glacier some 125 Kms east of Reykjakic. This eruption has halted flights to Europe and from Europe, especially ones from and to Heathrow Airport in London. Ash clouds that have come from the eruption is the cause of this incident. This incident has been grounding planes on a scale that has been unseen since the 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York. The worst thing about this eruption is that scientists have said that this eruption could last for months, or for years.

This is unlike anything i have ever seen or heard about before, having a volcano erupt as big as this one and having it cause so much grief. This is a big problem because if the volcano keeps erupting for years or months there will still be ash clouds which will keep planes grounded and will not let them fly to Europe. If this does happen this will become a big international incident and will cause to many people grief from around the world.

Boy 8, gives 60 bags of heroin to classmates

Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania a student at Turner Elementary School on Tuesday handed out 60 small "dime bags" of heroin to his third grade class. On the bags were the words trust me in quotations. On Wednesday at a news conference the police said that they found empty bags of heroin in the trash can, but there was no signs that the 3rd grade students actually ingested the substance. A teacher was the one who found out about this incident and immediately reported it to the principal. The school sent a letter home to the students parents about the incident. Police are now investigating on how the 8 year old student got a hold of the drugs.

This is absolutely crazy, like how does this happen. A 8 year old student handing out heroin to his third grade class. To me that seems kind of unbelievable. This is sickening in a way because to see how our world is today, having little kids handling hard narcotics, its despicable. To see that something of this magnitude has happened it makes me think what has our world turned into, a place were little kids deal drugs in the third grade!

Liberals keep Toronto Centre

Yesterday was the first step to having a new Toronto. It was a by-election. In this election there were 3 major parties running. The liberals who for this vote were run by the former major of Winnipeg Glen Murray. He won by getting 46 percent of the votes. In second it was the New Democrats led by Cathy Crowe who finished with 34 percent of the votes and than it was the Progressive Conservatives' Pamela Taylor who came in third racking up 16 percent of the votes. This is a big step in Toronto parliament and is good for everybody involved in parliament. Dalton McGuinty is very happy about what happened last night and says this is just one more step to building a better Toronto.

In my opinion I believe that Dalton McGuinty is right by saying that this is one more step towards building a better Toronto. Because this shows how much trust Torontonians have in Dalton McGuinty and the liberals in runnign the city. This is good because there will be less issue involving the mayor and the city since the mayor is well respect and party members are also well respected. This will open new doors for Toronto and create new opportunities or the community. I really like the Liberals, and I could vote it would be for them.

TTC driver 7 minute coffee break

Wednesday, a new video surfaced about another TTC officer doing something stupid on the job. This time he wasn't asleep but he was taking a nice and slow 7 minute coffee break. you could see him on the video walking in to the coffee shop to sit down, go to the bathroom and get a donut and a coffee. When a rider complains about the delay you can fully see the bus driver put his fingure to his lips in a gesture to mean silent. The video was shot monday night and is didnt surface till wednesday morning, because the person who took the video asked the driver to not take a brake. The driver replied saying, "this is the 21st century kid, no the '60s, i can do whatever I want)

In my opinnion this is very direspectful for. For a TTC driver to take a seven minute break while on the job, its stupid. Like he shouldn't be stopping at all during his work time to do that. He has passengers on the bus who need to get somewhere. They dont always have time to watch the driver take a 7 minute coffee break. This is making the TTC and the city of Toronto seem very bad, first having TTC drivers kill 7 pedstrians in 9 days and now to have 2 pictures of TTC staff slacking on the job going viral. This is very direspectful to the citizens to be sleeping on the job, but its not just direspectful to us its also direspectful to the TTC. They ha ve tried so hard to be the best they can be and to be mark with this behaviour by their staff is not good at all.

Obama's state of the union address

In state of the union address by President Obama today, he talks about many issues and answers many questions that have been flowting around the white house. President Obama says that the recession might be over but the effects are still shown today. As 1 out of 10 Americans still cannot find a job, businesses have shuttered and home values have declined. It has also brought up the burden that American families have been dealing with for years. The burden for working harder and longer for less and being able to save enough for retirement or to help kids go to college. He brings up the issue about tuition and how its to expensive for the average American families to deal with. He explains a couple plans he has devised that will help the economy rebuild itself again. He has proposed a fee on the biggest banks, a fee to for the banks to pay back taxpayers who rescued them in their time of need.
My opinion is this, President Barack Obama needs to start acting on his promises. Do you remember what Obama said when he was running for President? That he was going to get our troops out of Iraq. Now its a year later and are our troops are still in Iraq. I dont know about you but I think he shoudl stop saying what he is going to do and actually go out and do it. He needs to realize that people voted him for president because they wanted change, they didnt want things to stay the same. I believe that Obama can change America, but he needs to try first.

Saudi Arabia girl to get 90 lashes

In Saudi Arabia this past week a school girl was sentenced to 90 laches and 2 months in jail. The reason for which this girl is being punished is because a teacher said that the girl assaulted the teacher after the girl was caught with a camera phone. In Saudi Arabia camera phones are banned. The headmaster of the school described the girl as 20 years old, but Amnesty International says that she is only 13.This issue has caused a great uproar around the world. Amnesty international and other civil rights groups have been begging King Abdullah to pardon the young girl. But he has not yet replied to the people and has not pardoned the girl. He has said before that he will change the laws, but that was around a year ago, and people fear that the worst is yet to come.

In my opinnion this situation is very despicable, how can a younge girl at the age of 13 be sentenced to 90 lashes for having a camera phone in school. What kind of place can premote stuff like this, having 13 year old beaten for what! having a camera phone. How stupid does that sound. In Canada nobody would ever back this, and nobody would ever say yes to having something like this. King Abdullah needs to realize, is this something you want people to blame you for? Does he want to have this mark on him and his country, a country who beats children if they have a camera phone? This problem is completely absurd, and should be taken care of.
